Types of hot tub breaks in Whitby

When you book a hot tub break in Whitby, you get the best of both worlds with sandy beaches and a town packed with history. This pretty seaside town in North Yorkshire is known for its Gothic Abbey, good-looking architecture and scenic harbour. You’ll find most of the Whitby houses with hot tubs in the heart of town, so you’ve got easy access to shops, restaurants and beaches. Expect Georgian and Victorian townhouses, with the added extra of a bubbling hot tub in the garden.

Places to visit in Whitby

Whitby’s charms are obvious from the outset. This coastal town in North Yorkshire has been blessed with a pretty harbourside setting and handsome houses to match. Top of the list of places to visit in Whitby is the Gothic-style abbey. You can climb the famous 199 steps from the cobbled old town up to the abbey. The dramatic cliffside ruins inspired Bram Stoker’s Dracula and there’s a rare 1st edition copy of the novel in the on-site visitor centre.

Bram Stoker’s not the only person with a connection to the town, though. You can also learn about Captain Cook’s links with Whitby at the Captain Cook Memorial Museum. And you can explore the North Sea for yourself on a boat trip. There’s the chance of seeing wildlife, like whales, dolphins and seals.

If you want to stay on dry land, there are four main beaches, as well as a load of smaller bays or coves. West Cliff, to the north of the town, is the main big-hitter and comes with multi-coloured beach huts, a paddling pool and a crazy golf course. And you can’t leave Whitby without heading down to the harbour and getting a traditional fish and chips supper.
